Naiara Bellio is a journalist specialising in automated decision-making, AI and privacy, and a 2026–2027 Pulitzer Center AI Accountability Fellow. She was a reporter for AlgorithmWatch and led the Algorithmic Accountability Reporting Fellowship, which brought together more than 35 journalists and researchers across Europe.

As a researcher, Naiara has collaborated with AlgoRace, EuroMed Rights and Statewatch to examine how law enforcement and public administrations in Spain use automated systems. Previously, she led the Technology section at the non-profit Maldita Foundation, focusing on disinformation around AI and digital literacy, and worked for the Spanish news agency EFE in Madrid and Argentina.
