Naomi Appelman is a Dutch interdisciplinary researcher in information law and political philosophy, based in Dublin. She studies how law and action can challenge the ways tech and AI infrastructures uphold systems of oppression, and her current work looks at how local movements are resisting the expansion of data centres.

Alongside her postdoctoral research, Naomi is an organiser in several grassroots movements and a co-founder of the Racism and Technology Center, a volunteer-led NGO.
