Sofio Katamadze is a Lead Software Engineer at EPAM and an Associate Professor at the University of Georgia and Caucasus University in Tbilisi.

She has over 12 years of experience building production systems and leading the technical development of AI-driven enterprise solutions.

Holding a PhD in Computer Engineering and an MSc in Cybersecurity, she is also an active researcher involved in an EU Horizon research collaboration. Her research on policy enforcement for tool-using AI agents is set to be presented at the ACM CCS 2026 LAMPS workshop.
