
Colin van Noordt
Special Guest Lecturer at KU Leuven University
Colin van Noordt is a Special Guest Lecturer at KU Leuven University. His expertise focuses on artificial intelligence in the public sector, with a particular interest in how governments can responsibly and effectively deploy these technologies. His research covers topics such as the challenges of adopting AI systems, their impact on public services, and the policy initiatives supporting their use.
He completed his PhD at the Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). He was an External Expert for the European Commission’s AI Watch team, contributing to research on AI in public services and co-authoring influential reports. He is also co-editor of the Research Handbook on Artificial Intelligence for Public Management, published by Edward Elgar Publishing. Previously, he was Program Director for AI at Digital Nation, leading AI strategy and advising on capacity building.
