Shota Elkanishvili is a Machine Learning Engineer at Pinterest’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG), where he specializes in developing state-of-the-art visual understanding, object detection, and segmentation models. His career spans major tech companies and startups, including work on enterprise-scale RAG systems at Google on the Gemini Code Assist team, and earlier roles at Microsoft, the Bank of Georgia, and the YC-backed startup Theneo.

Beyond his industry impact, Shota is a dedicated advocate for AI education and community building, serving as the Co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Georgian AI Association. In this capacity, he designed and leads a free, comprehensive AI course for high school students, covering foundational subjects alongside with advanced topics to prepare them for international Olympiad.
