Data Scientist at AI Lab
Raphael Kalandadze is Data Scientist at the AI Lab. He is passionate about research, and at AI Lab, his focus is on developing foundational models for the Georgian language.
Additionally, he actively participates in several research projects in partnership with INRI, DFKI and MICM research Institutes such as Emotion recognition from video/EEG signals and the development of Adapters for the calibration of EEG classifiers. He graduated from the Free University of Tbilisi with a degree in electrical and computer engineering and is currently pursuing a master's degree in computer science.
Workshop: Namestorming NMT
At this session, Raphael presents one of the AI Lab projects which focuses on machine translation for specific domain on low resource languages such as Georgian. He will share how this system works in general, what are common problems and how his team solves them. Afterwards, the attendees will gain the capability to take the pre-trained model and fine-tune it so that it can accurately identify personal names.
