Natia Kuprashvili is a Georgian journalist, media innovator and educator with over 20 years of experience. She directs the Journalism Resource Center (JRC) and leads AINews.ge, recognised at WAN-IFRA’s 2026 Digital Media Awards in both the European and global competitions. She is an invited expert on AI and media innovation at DW Akademie, contributing to the development of an AI navigator for journalists and newsrooms.

At Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Natia is an Associate Professor and heads both the Doctoral Programme in Mass Communication and the Master’s Programme in Digital Media and Innovation. Her work connects journalism, emerging technologies and education, with a focus on practical AI applications, ethical innovation and strengthening regional and minority-language media.
